Vinye L’Hereu’s 2006 Petit Grealo is a blend of 40% Syrah, 30% Merlot, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon fermented and aged in stainless steel for 12 months on its lees. It offers up an earthy, jammy, black fruit-scented nose leading to a dense, rich, concentrated, fruity wine which makes up in power what it lacks in subtlety. This tasty effort can be approached now but will continue to offer enjoyment for another 5-7 years.
