Subtle and elegant, the 2013 Chianti Classico Riserva Le Masse di Greve has a point of tartness with cherry and cassis flavors followed by bitter almond and spice. This wine performs nicely on the palate and all the senses. This blend of 95% Sangiovese and 5% Canaiolo is aged in barrique for two years. It has all its cards in place, although the bouquet is presented with reduced aromatic intensity.
