The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes has an attractive, menthol-tinged bouquet that opens nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannin, a little foursquare at the moment, though there is decent weight towards the spice-tinged finish that just needs to muster more persistence.
