The 2005 Jubilo is composed of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Malbec and was aged for 12 months in 30% new French oak prior to being bottled unfined and unfiltered. Purple/black in color, it offers a nose of wood smoke, vanilla, pencil lead, saddle leather, black currants and black cherry. Surprisingly light on its feet, the flavors already offer complexity as well as an elegant personality. It nicely conceals enough tannin to evolve for 5-7 years and should drink well through 2025. Tikal is owned by Ernesto Catena of the renowned Argentine wine family. Importer: Vine Connections, Sausalito, CA; tel. (415) 323-VINO
