(14.5% alcohol): Medium red. Musky strawberry, raspberry and smoky minerality on the enticing nose, complemented by lower-toned notes of mocha and earth. Suave, silky and classically dry on the palate, with open-knit flavors of red berries, spices, mocha and underbrush framed by nicely integrated acidity. Not the last word in energy but mellow and creamy pinot with very suave tannins. Finishes with a hint of warmth and a sexy suggestion of underbrush that reminded me of Burgundy. A producer to watch.
