Chateau des Estanilles' 1994 and 1995 Cuvee Tradition (Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah blends) are impressive. The 1994 exhibits a medium dark ruby color, followed by a sweet, ripe nose of red and black fruits, spice, and earth. Soft, round, and generous, with fine depth, this is a supple, mouthfilling wine to drink over the next 3-4 years. This property merits a serious look. Faugeres, an appellation in the Languedoc-Roussillon, is enjoying newfound success.Jeroboam Wines, New York, NY; tel. (212) 374-9415; fax (212) 925-6474
