The 2007 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva Ca’ Florian opens to an elegant and almost muted bouquet that needs extra time to express itself. Slowly, as the wine takes on more air in the glass it inevitably becomes increasingly articulate. Forest floor, underbrush, button mushroom, cedar, spice and dried berry fruit make for a compelling bouquet. The wine is sharp, etched and sweet in a less obvious way. Drink 2014-2024.
