I have no doubts that Lardiere's elevage magic will ultimately render Jadot's 2001 Montrachet better than what I tasted in January, 2003. Its smoky, mineral-laced nose leads to a tightly wound, juicy, lemon-laced, tight personality. It displays admirable depth, appealing breadth on the attack, and a noble, persistent finish. Projected maturity: 2006-2012+.
