The 1992 Bacharacher Hahn Riesling Spatlese Halbtrocken is flamboyant to the point of ostentatiousness. It offers an exotic peach/apricot/cherry nose reminiscent of a Rhone Valley Condrieu. The wine is loaded with massive amounts of fruit. Medium-bodied, with superb concentration and richness, this wine made me think of Viognier, not Riesling. Drink this terrific wine over the next 2-3 years.A Terry Theise Estate Selection, imported by Milton S. Kronheim Co., Washington, DC.
