Executed in a very traditional and streamlined style (with 36 months in large oak casks), the 2014 Barolo Cannubi offers a very evident and encouraging step forward in quality next to the village Barolo from the same vintage. This single-vineyard Barolo offers more depth and complexity that surrounds a dark core of black fruit. However, the mouthfeel remains thin and tight. Like the other new releases from this estate, you do get an element of dryness or astringency on the close. Drink this wine within the next 10 years. Some 10,000 bottles were produced.
