The 2012 Vermentino Solosole shows a touch of sweet tangerine with white flower, mango, kiwi and creamy lemon mousse. The mouthfeel is surprisingly soft and rich: This Vermentino does not show the sharp grassiness or herbal qualities after which the grape gets its name. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2014.
Now celebrating its eleventh anniversary, the 70-hectare Poggio al Tesoro belongs to the Allegrini family (historic producers of Amarone in northern Italy) and was founded in partnership with American importer Leonardo Lo Cascio.
