Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2009 “Eastside” Shiraz is a little mute at the moment, offering a delicate to moderate intensity of red cherry and blackcurrant aromas with hints of black pepper, anise and black truffles. Full bodied with a good amount of taut, primary berry flavors and very crisp acid, it has a medium level of grainy tannins and long finish. Drinking well now, it should keep to 2015+.
