The 2014 Vittoria Il Frappato is a sharply contoured and well defined red wine that embodies the light and feminine side of Sicily. This expression is very clean and focused. This is in part thanks to the good growing conditions of this vintage. Dark cherry fruit is generous and plush. That red fruit signature is followed by hints of green olive and caper. The finish is slightly sour and fresh. Frappato makes a great pairing partner to white meat and elaborate fish dishes. It can be served slightly chilled and is appropriate for near term consumption.
