This is one of the two best Malescots I have ever tasted. The rich, deep, black currant, spicy, cedary bouquet and long, fat, tannic, concentrated flavors are explosive. It is amazing how remarkably young this large-scaled wine tastes. It can still evolve for another 10-15 years. Even by the standards of the vintage, Malescot has turned in an outstanding effort. Anticipated maturity: Now-2005. Last tasted, 1/91.
