The 2004 ARAGONES / CABERNET SAUVIGNON (ADEGABORBA.PT) seemed a bit too sharp on opening, but came around quite well. It has good flavors, with very attractive red berry notes, and is more expansive and open than the Reserva reviewed here. It has a lush texture, but a modest finish, with modest but reasonable depth for its price range. There is some structure, too, as the supporting tannins provide grip. It is a bit simple and straightforward and can be expected to thin out fairly quickly as it ages, but it drinks quite well. To its credit, it drank better after 30-40 minutes than it did on opening. Drink now-2009. The Adegaborba.pt line from this co-op is new, and usually involves a marriage of local grapes to international ones in a modest price range.Importer: Luiz’s Liquors, Inc. and L&B Beverage, Inc., Fall River, MA; tel.
