Colin McBride, who owns Adelina (and, do I need to mention, makes the wines) is a deeply intelligent and interesting guy, and so I always view the wines through that same lens. On the nose, this 2021 Cabernet Franc is insanely leafy: garden mint, hints of lantana, lavender and blackberry bramble. In the mouth, the wine follows this same, cool, mineral, leafy path. It's very good, but very different from the Cabernet Francs from Margaret River and other places around the country. There are notes of licorice root and anise.
