The 2011 Pinot Gris reveals notes of poached pears, peaches and nutmeg with hints of honeyed toast. Clean and expressive, it offers a pleasantly satiny texture and a touch of sweetness (9.8 grams per liter of residual sugar) on the palate, off-set by crisp acid and finishing medium-long. Drink it now to 2014. Akarua does not currently have a USA importer.
