The 2007 Tannhammer (Chardonnay/Sauvignon) flows across the palate with expressive fruit. The combination of Chardonnay and Sauvignon works especially well here, as the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Juicy apricots, peaches, flowers, mint and spices flow through effortlessly to the generous, creamy finish. I especially like the way the wine continues to develop in the glass. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2015. Alois Lageder now has two distinct ranges. The Alois Lageder wines are made from purchased fruit, while the Tenutae Lageder wines are made from estate-owned vineyards, many of which are farmed biodynamically.Importer: Dalla Terra, Napa, CA; tel.
