It casts a pale ruby color and gives pretty cranberry, red flowers and Mediterranean herb notes with nuances of orange peel, earth, twigs, and cinnamon stick. Medium bodied, it offers a great concentration of red berry and dried herb flavors with high acid and a medium level of rounded tannins, finishing long and minerally. Drink it now to 2017+. 100 cases were made. "Every vintage here has been quite different and when you're going down this dry-grown path this seems to exacerbate the vintages," continued Glover as we tasted. "Chardonnay seems to reflect the earth more for us, Pinot reacts to the climate. Our winemaking is reactive. You're constantly reacting to what the season is." Another thing that impressed me about Glover's methods is this refusal to make wines by formula - each wine is handled different every vintage.
