The 2008 Pinot Noir Tardy is medium ruby red with a charming perfume of exotic spices, sandalwood, underbrush, and wild red berries. On the palate it displays focus and finesse along with a satin texture and excellent balance. Drink this precocious effort through 2018. Steven and Allison Whiteside own Bella Vida Winery. Each of their three Pinot Noir bottlings is made by a different winemaker. Quantities are small ranging from 84 to 125 cases.www.bellavida.com

Smooth textured and easy-going, it wants to be elegant but is in need of more depth and concentration. Drink it over the next several years.
