The Beni di Batasiolo 2017 Langhe Chardonnay Vigneto Morino shows mild buttery and nutty richness on top of tropical fruit and pineapple. The wine is straightforward in its delivery, and although the intensity is good, the aromas are basic. They reflect a straightforward approach to Chardonnay, but they don't tell us much about the territory of Piedmont. The wine could be mistaken as being from another part of the world in a blind tasting. Those hot-vintage tones of ripe fruit add a soft or creamy finish. Some 2,250 six-bottle cases were produced.
