The 2005 CABERNET SAUVIGNON SPECIAL RESERVE adds a layer of depth and a certain herbaceous note to the ’07 Yogev reviewed this issue. While it is a slightly more serious wine, it is not necessarily much more charming or interesting. For early consumption, I might actually prefer the Yogev, although this has somewhat more upside. On its own, this is small scaled, with modest depth, but pleasant enough, with a bright and sunny demeanor. Drink now-2012. Binyamina’s Yogev label is a tribute to its growers and farmers. It means “tiller of the soil,” in Hebrew.Importer: Royal Wine Corp, Bayonne, N.J.; tel: (718) 534-0118.
