The medium to full-bodied 2004 Syrah Double Down exhibits plenty of cool climate cassis notes as well as hints of menthol, licorice, and flowers. A French-styled offering with good underlying acidity, a layered mouthfeel that builds incrementally, and fine overall balance, it should age beautifully for a decade or more.
