The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon was produced from Napa Valley vine cuttings. Dark purple-colored, it sports a perfume of spice box, violets, earth notes, black currant, and blackberry. Medium-bodied with good depth and a bit of structure, this smooth-textured wine has ample savory fruit and 1-2 years of aging potential. It can be enjoyed now through 2016. Veleta is the project of Dr. Juan and Nola Palomar. Vines were planted in the obscure DO of Granada in 1992 and the winery began in 1998 with an expansion in 2004. The estate is 55 acres with production at 7000 cases annually.Importer: JNJ International, Dayton, OH
