The 2008 Sango de Rejadorada was sourced from vines ranging in age from 80-100 years and aged in new French oak for 18 months. Aromas of sandalwood, exotic spices, incense, espresso, a hint of balsamic, and blackberry lead to a full-bodied, powerful yet surprisingly elegant wine that will nicely reward 5-7 years of cellaring. It has a drinking window extending from 2016 to 2023. The purple-colored 2005 Sango de Rejadorada is 100% Tinta de Toro sourced from 89-year-old vines and aged for 18 months in French oak. It sports a superb bouquet of pain grille, pencil lead, violets, incense, and black cherry. Dense, still tightly wound, but well-balanced and very promising, this layered, savory wine will benefit from another 5-7 years of cellaring and deliver prime drinking from 2015 to 2030. The 2004 Sango de Rejadorada is deep purple with an excellent aromatic display of wood smoke, leather, mineral, violets, and blackberry. Ripe, layered, and intense, it nearly conceals enough tannin for 3-5 years of further evolution. It should be at its best from 2012 to 2025.
