The 2005 Capricho, from the awakening DO of Calatayud, is 100% Garnacha and received some aging in barrel. Purple-colored, it offers a fragrant perfume of cedar, spice box, violets, black cherry, and black raspberry. Opulent on the palate, it has layers of sweet fruit, spicy, complex flavors, and a forward personality. It will evolve for 1-2 years and drink well through 2020.
