The 2010 Don Miguel Comenge is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from Pago de las Hontanillas, a 2.80-hectare vineyard north of Penafiel. The vineyards are surrounded by forests on a slope whose soils are predominantly chalk and clay at 859 to 880 meters altitude. It has notes of raspberry jam and blackcurrant with a thick layer of spicy and smoky aromas. The palate is medium-bodied, with simple, fruity flavors and good freshness. This is juicy and easy-to-drink. Drink now-2016.
