The 2014 Don Miguel Comenge is a Reserva, a blend of 88% Tempranillo, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Merlot aged in new French barriques for 20 to 21 months depending on the variety. It has some aromas of dry herbs, hay and straw, and a hint of cereals, but not as much oak as you might expect. The palate has some grainy tannins and moderate acidity, and is quite powerful. 12,985 bottles produced.
