The Callejo wines begin with the purple-colored 2009 Seis Meses en Barrica. From a superb vintage in Ribera del Duero, it emits a fragrant nose of rose petals, cedar, spice box, lavender, and blackberry. Forward, savory, and smooth-textured, it is an outstanding value meant for drinking over the next 4 years.
