The 2011 Camparron Seleccion is pure Tinto de Toro aged 50% in new oak for three months. The nose is rather pinched and not particularly expressive at the moment, although the palate demonstrates decent balance and is harmonious. The 2005 Camparron Seleccion is 100% Tinta de Toro which spent 3 months in American oak. Medium ruby-colored, it offers a pleasant nose of cedar, spice box, and red currants.
