There is one more blended wine, the 2012 Venta la Ossa TNT which stands for Touriga Nacional - Tempranillo, the grapes that were used in approximately an 80/20 proportion fermented in stainless steel vats with selected yeasts and aged for one year in new French and American oak barrels which seems to be the regular modus operandi here. It might be the vintage or the grape blend (or both) but I feel better-integrated oak aromas here, with notes of violets and dark cherries over the background of spices and creamy notes. The full-bodied palate reveals flavors of chocolate-covered ripe cherries and perfumed notes intermixed with some charred, pungent flavors that give it a showy, commercial overall profile. 10,000 bottles were produced.
