The dark-colored 2016 Rosado is a rosé from Mencía from a coolish vintage. It has aromas of strawberry and raspberry and a palate that I was expecting to have more freshness. 4,000 bottles.

The classical Rosé 2014 Rosado is produced with Mencía grapes and is kept in contact with the lees for five months. This is not a pale rosé; it's darker with some strawberry and sweet flavors. 4,000 bottles were filled in February 2015.

The 2013 Rosado is produced with Mencía grape bottled un-oaked, fermented and matured for five months in stainless steel. It has a deep cherry color and a nose mixing strawberry candy and herbal aromas. It is easy to drink and has good freshness. 3,000 bottles.

The 2012 Rosado, produced from old-vine Mencia fermented and aged for five months in stainless steel, has clean strawberry lollipop aromas and flavors. It is refreshing and ideal to have with tapas. Drink 2013-2014. Bodegas Peique is a family business created in 1999 by the Peique family in the village of Valtuille de Abajo, where they have been making wine for over 90 years. These old families have quite extensive vineyard holdings, and in the case of the Peiques, it is 40 hectares, located in the village of Valtuille de Abajo at altitudes ranging from 450 to 600 meters. They harvest some 230,000 kilograms of grapes, with which they produce a wide range, but the quantities for most of the wines are quite limited; the lions-share of the production, 180,000 bottles, is for the unoaked Tinto Mencia. The 2010 Rosado is composed of 100% Mencia aged in stainless steel for 2 months. Fragrant aromas of cherry blossom, incense, potpourri, and black raspberry lead to a dry, fruity, lively offering that should prove versatile at the table over the next 12-18 months.
