The 2006 Sinforiano Reserva was sourced from 120 year old vines and aged for 16 months in French oak. Purple/black in color, it sports a reticent nose of plum, fruit cake, Asian spices, incense, and blackberry. Dense and rich on the palate with plenty of volume, what it lacks in elegance it makes up for in flavor. Give it 2-3 years to become a bit more civilized and drink it from 2013 to 2026.
Bodegas Sinforiano was founded in 1966 and its family vineyards are all Tinto del Pais (Tempranillo) bush vines ranging in age from 40-120 years.
