The 2006 Tobia Seleccion, a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Garnacha, is dark ruby-colored with aromas of cedar spice box, violets, leather, and black cherry. Medium-bodied, on the palate it is a bit tight and will require 2-3 years to unwind. It has plenty of savory fruit to balance the structure and it should drink well from 2011 to 2020. The 2005 Seleccion is the same blend and received the same oak treatment. Dark ruby-colored, it presents an attractive bouquet of wood smoke, mineral, black cherry, and blackberry liqueur.
