The 2012 Inspiracion Valdemar Tempranillo Blanco is one of the few varietal wines made with this mutation of Tempranillo, as it’s not a white wine made with red grapes, but a new white version of the Tempranillo grape. This has a waxy nose, with ripe notes of peaches and some tropical hints. The texture in palate is akin to a red wine, powerful, full of flavors, intense and long, with a mineral, salty finish. Tempranillo Blanco is something to follow up. Drink 2014-2017. There is one white wine among the new releases, the gold-colored 2010 Inspiracion Valdemar Tempranillo Blanco (100%) was barrel-fermented and aged on the lees for 12 months in French oak. It offers up notes of jasmine, mineral, and white peach in a round, mouth-filling style. It has ample spicy, savory fruit, good balance, and a medium-long seamless finish.
