The 2004 Tierras de Luna is composed of 75% Mencia, 20% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 16 months in French and American oak. Deep crimson-colored, it has an expressive perfume of cedar, spice box, mineral, blueberry, and black currant. Elegantly styled, the wine has plenty of spicy fruit, good depth, and a long, pure finish. Give it 3-5 years to fully open and drink it through 2020.
