The 2018 Crianza was produced mostly with grapes from their estate property La Revilla at 915 meters in altitude. It's a blend of 99% Tinto Fino with1% Cabernet Sauvignon that was fermented by plot with indigenous yeasts and matured in used barrels for 12 months. The moorlands are higher in altitude and cooler, with a high content of limestone, and they want to showcase this terroir in their wines. The label now mentions Vino de Páramo (moorland wine). The wine has a delicate but powerful structure, perhaps given the larger grapes with more juice-to-skin ratio, with very chalky tannins and a long, dry finish. The wine is powerful but fresh and elegant, less extracted and with integrated oak, which seems to be the new house style. 240,000 bottles.
