If anyone can succeed with Pinot in the warmish Sierra Foothills, it’s pioneering Boeger. This effort is a good start. It’s correctly light and silky, with red cherry, espresso, cherry tomato and crushed hard spice aromas and flavors. All they need to do is put some depth and complexity in, and they’ll have a winner. —S.H.——S.H.(2/1/2003)—— 85
