Botromagno’s 2011 Gravina Poggio al Bosco is quite a bit richer and deeper than the regular bottling, but the flavor profile remains essentially the same, which is to say plenty of citrus, white flowers and minerals. A plush, creamy finish round things out in style. The 2011 is 60% Greco and 40% Malvasia, aged in stainless steel. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2016.
Botromagno is another estate that is enjoying a resurgence in quality. Alberto Antonini oversees winemaking.
