The 2018 Cornas Nobles Rives matured in Burgundian-style 228-liter barrels, of which 13% were new, with the majority in second and third use wood. While the nose includes a touch of cedar, it's more crushed stone and cassis. The medium to full-bodied palate, on the other hand, delivers plenty of vanilla and wood spice while featuring a coarse, open-knit texture and an oak-inflected finish. Drink this one on the young side.
