The 2011 Colors is a multi-grape blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Garnachah which aged in oak barrels for eight months. The wine seems quite transparent with the warmth of the vintage, with very ripe notes of stewed black fruit, sweet spices and a lactic touch. The palate is medium-bodied, with intense flavors of ripe fruit, good balance and a slightly warm finish. Drink now-2016. Cervoles shares ownership with Castell del Remei also in Costers del Segre, but this is a much younger enterprise, created in 1997 and with an average production of 110,000 bottles. The 2010 Colors (red) is a blend of 35% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 10% Syrah aged for eight months in French oak. It has a pleasant cranberry and raspberry-scented nose that is rustic but charming. The palate is fresh and vibrant with crunchy red currant and strawberry fruit.
