The flagship 2008 Ceuso boasts serious depth in this vintage. A rich, deep core of fruit flows from the glass in this resonant, beautifully layered Sicilian red. Nero d’Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot meld together gracefully in this exceptionally polished, expressive wine. The 2008 is drop-dead gorgeous. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020. The 2007 Ceuso shows off layers of ripe dark fruit, grilled herbs, tobacco, leather incense and tar. The tannins are a touch firm, suggesting the wine needs further bottle age.
