The 2019 Pinot Noir Edna Valley, matured for 11 months in 25% new French oak, has a medium ruby-purple color and a nose of blackberries and cranberries with nuances of forest floor, dried orange peel and Earl Grey tea leaves. The medium-bodied palate has a deep core of ripe red berry fruit, a soft, grainy texture and a long, layered finish. 1,000 cases produced.

Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2017 Pinot Noir Estate, aged 11 months in 40% new French oak, has gregarious, super spicy aromas of red apple skin, tangerine peel, cranberry sauce, raspberry preserves and warm wild blackberries with nuances of cinnamon stick, dried leaves and amaro. It’s medium-bodied and satiny textured and explodes with bright, juicy fruits, gently framed and with fantastic freshness energizing the long finish. 1,689 cases produced.

Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, the 2015 Pinot Noir Estate is scented of raspberries, wild strawberries and lavender with hints of wild thyme and forest floor. Light to medium-bodied, with wonderful energy and tension in the mouth, it has a quiet intensity of flavors a long, chewy finish.

The medium ruby colored 2014 Pinot Noir from Chamisal Vineyard is a rock solid effort was completely destemmed and aged ten months in 22% new French oak. Medium-bodied, nicely textured and elegant, with ripe tannin, lots of spice, potpourri and sweet black cherry aromas and flavors, and a solid finish, it should drink nicely through 2021.

The 2012 Pinot Noir is a beauty. Perfumed, up front and textured, it shows the vintage nicely with its spiced cherries, tar, crushed flowers and hints of licorice on the nose. Showing more floral notes with air, I love its overall purity and texture, and it should continue to drink nicely for another 3-4 years, if not longer.
