Owner Rodolphe de Pins likes to age his wines a bit longer, so the 2017 Cotes du Rhone is the current vintage. A blend of 50% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Carignan, 10% Cinsault and 5% Counoise, it features an intriguing array of herbal, fruity and savory notes, making it one of my favorite C?tes du Rh?ne bottlings. Cranberries and cherries intermingle with hints of thyme and bay leaf, adding hints of leather on the medium-bodied palate. It's silky and elegant, with a gentle touch on the softly lingering finish.
