This wine is a very special wine. I am not sure it doesn't deserve a slightly higher rating. At $7.00, it is unquestionably a remarkable bargain. Made from 100% old vine Grenache (minimum age is 40 years), it is akin to drinking a Chateauneuf du Pape. The wine boasts a dense, opaque ruby/purple color, as well as an intense nose of kirsch, pepper, and jammy raspberries. Round, expansive, and sweet, with high glycerin, and gorgeous layers of fruit, this wine gushes with an abundance of intensity. With its high glycerin, medium to full body, and outstanding purity, this terrific expression of Grenache must be tasted to be believed! Normally, Grenache of this quality costs $20-$30 a bottle!
