The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Les Fourneaux is showing well, revealing pretty aromas of ripe citrus fruit, fresh pastry and green apple. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and saline, with an ample attack but a tight-knit core, concluding with a pure and nicely defined finish.

The 2015 Chablis 1er Cru Les Fourneaux has an austere, cold flint-scented bouquet, with apple blossom scents that emerge with time. The palate is well balanced, not complex, but fresh and tensile with a pleasant mango and pineapple-tinged finish. Not a bad Fourneaux, but it just needs more...pizzazz.
