The 2019 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos Reyssié unwinds in the glass with aromas of yellow orchard fruit, warm bread, toasted almonds and mandarin. Medium to full-bodied, lively and fleshy, with a satiny attack that segues into a muscular, layered mid-palate, it concludes with a long, saline finish.

The most muscular wine in the cellar this year is the 2018 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos Reyssié, a rich and textural wine that unfurls in the glass with aromas of pear, honeycomb, wheat toast, spices and marmelade, framed by a deft application of oak. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and multidimensional, it reflects the old vines and clay-rich site that produced it.

From parcels planted in 1936 in the middle of this historic, clay-rich climat, the 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos Reyssié offers up a lovely bouquet of fresh peach, almond paste, dried white flowers and honeycomb. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with lively acids, chewy structure and a mouthwatering finish. This should age well.

From a parcel planted in 1936, the 2016 Pouilly-Fuissé Clos Reyssié wafts from the glass with notes of nutmeg, yellow orchard fruit, honeycomb and fresh mint. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with more structure at the core, balanced by juicy acids. Whereas the regular Pouilly-Fuissé is already drinking well, Cornin's Clos Reyssié will be better with a couple of years of bottle age.

The 2015 Pouilly Fuisse Clos Reyssié undergoes no filtration and no fining after 21 months aging in Burgundy barrels. This parcel comes from vines planted in 1936 by Marius Cornin. It has a very enticing bouquet with gorgeous rose petal, quince jelly, marzipan and citrus fruit. The palate is very well balanced with a fine line of acidity, the oak very well integrated with hints of orange zest and citrus peel on the mineral-rich finish. This is a superb Pouilly Fuisse from Cornin and it should give several years of pleasure.
