The 2012 Chamine Branco is a tank-aged blend of Antao Vaz (25%), Verdelho (27%), Sauvignon Blanc (32%) and Viognier (16%), coming in at 12.5% alcohol. Several of those grapes are quite aromatic. Not surprisingly, so is this wine, which is possessed of a perky personality, including refreshing herbaceousness in the background. There is not much depth, persistence or concentration, which is par for the course at this level. So, it may not last long at peak. If you drink it as young and fresh as possible, it will be a nice bargain and a summer favorite. Drink now-2015. Importer: Tri-Vin Imports, Mt. Vernon, NY; tel. (914) 664-3155
