The 2004 Grenache is a blend of primarily Grenache with small amounts of Mourvedre, Shiraz, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Fashioned from 35 and 60-year-old Grenache vines, it boasts a deep ruby/purple color as well as an explosive nose of kirsch liqueur, licorice, pepper, and spice box. This rich, opulent, hedonistic Grenache is a total turn-on. However, it will not make old bones, so enjoy it over the next 2-4 years.
