This domaine is making better wines in recent vintages. Jacumin's 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape La Begude des Papes—70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 12% Mourvèdre and 3% Cinsault, matured in a variety of vessels—boasts subtle garrigue notes and plenty of ripe cherries. It's full-bodied, supple, creamy and lush on the mid-palate, then turns a bit tannic and firm on the finish.

The 2008 Chateauneuf du Pape from Albin Jacumin is very disappointing – thin, herbaceous, washed-out, and barely acceptable. No known American importer.
